Viewers are asking it. Avatards are demanding it. Sokka is shouting it with tears in his eyes. But this question, at the moment, is the most relevant to the Fire Nation prison guard about to step around the corner of this cramped little maintenance corridor; and yet, it will never have crossed his mind.



Well, it's been up in the air since Appa's Lost Days, right? Where is Suki? Azula alluded to her; it sounds like she's in prison, and possibly still alive, praise be.

I've wanted to draw Suki in her probable captivity for months now. I've considered drawing her doing the ball-bouncing Steve McQueen thing in solitary, after one too many breaks for freedom. I've considered drawing her McGuyvering herself a weapon (the fine piece of work portrayed in this scribble involves part of a broken earthenware dinner dish, and the end of her rope sash).

But this is really how I picture Suki at the moment; just two steps and a swing away from graduating cum laude from the General Iroh School of One-(Wo)Man-Army Escape Artistry.

Because, seriously, "waiting for Sokka to rescue her"? Azula always lies, fair enough, but that one was a real stinker. She should have stuck with the forty-foot tall platypus bears with silver wings.
