Number two in my DANCE! series of Avatar fanart! Eventually I'm hoping to work my way through most of the cast...look in my gallery for number one, Sokka!
(When I was looking for reference photos of dancers, I ran across the one that ended up becoming this picture and pretty quickly thought, "Toph." And then started questioning the thought. It wasn't the sort of pose I'd expected to use for her--I'd been imagining something much more square and grounded. But I drew it anyway, because it just seemed to want to be drawn. And, whether it's the way her face is tilted towards the earth no matter what, or just something intangible, everyone I've shown it to so far just nods and agrees... "Yup. Toph.") And what's she dancing to, you ask? Her own beat. <3 |

Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.
